Mat-Su correctional-officer recruiting sessions run weekly

The Alaska Department of Corrections holds weekly recruiting sessions every Friday afternoon at the Mat-Su Job Center in Wasilla to hire correctional officers.

The sessions run from 3 to 4 p.m. at 877 Commercial Drive. The Alaska Job Center Network lists the event as an informational and recruiting workshop where attendees can learn about and begin the process of applying for corrections positions.

The department offers competitive pay with shift differentials based on experience. It also offers full-time career opportunities and advancement potential.
