Alaska takes final 2026 public input Wednesday on child care grant rules

Alaska's Child Care Program Office holds the last session of its 2026 public engagement series Wednesday from noon to 2 pm, online, on the Child Care Grant Program, which pays monthly cash grants to state-licensed child care providers.

The session covers applications, eligibility, reporting, and billing and attendance records. The office says input from this session and the seven before it, which covered licensing, child care assistance and Alaska Inclusive Child Care, will shape program changes and future regulations.

Providers, families, advocates and community partners can attend, but the meeting link isn't posted publicly. Anyone who wants it has to email or call the office, or sign up for its email updates.
