Saxman man arrested for felony DV assault with prior convictions

Alaska State Troopers arrested a Saxman man early Monday on a felony domestic violence assault charge elevated by prior convictions.

Troopers responded to a disturbance at a Saxman residence at 12:17 a.m. on June 22. They arrested Floyd Jackson, 59, and charged him with assault in the third degree. The charge is a class C felony, carrying a maximum prison term of five years, because Jackson has qualifying domestic violence assault convictions within the past 10 years.

All charges are accusations. Jackson is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
