A Ketchikan man is jailed on burglary and assault charges

Alaska State Troopers arrested a Ketchikan man Sunday after he allegedly forced his way into a home, assaulted a family member, and then tried to keep the incident from being reported.

Daniel O'Sullivan, 43, faces five charges: two counts of third-degree assault, first-degree burglary, interference with a report of a domestic violence crime, and fourth-degree criminal mischief. All carry a domestic violence designation.

Troopers were called to Old Dairy Road around 2:28 p.m. Sunday, and O'Sullivan is being held without bail at Ketchikan Correctional Center.

The charges are accusations. O'Sullivan is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
