Police are searching for two missing teenagers in Anchorage and Wasilla

Anchorage police are helping search for two missing teenagers.

Sparrow Kowatch, 16, has been missing since Sept. 19 and may now be in Anchorage, according to an Anchorage Police Department bulletin. She was last seen at the Burger King on E. Financial Drive in Wasilla. Kowatch is 5 feet 3 inches tall and 100 pounds, with strawberry blonde hair, and was last seen in a black hoodie, black wide-leg pants and black and pink shoes.

Alaska State Troopers are leading that investigation. Anyone with information should call the Palmer trooper post at 907-745-2131.

Separately, police are asking for help finding Jay Moriwaki, 13, last seen around 10 pm Wednesday near the 1600 block of Vashon Circle in Anchorage, according to a department alert. He is 5 feet 2 inches tall and 100 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a black Pokemon sweatshirt with Snorlax on it and a black cap.

A person does not have to be missing 24 hours before a report can be filed, the department says, and it can send a community alert once a report is taken.
