A super PAC that registered in Anchorage last month reported spending $1.6 million on media against Democrat Mary Peltola in a single filing, less than two weeks before her Nov. 3 election against Republican Sen. Dan Sullivan.

Nearly all of it, $1,519,610, went to MHB Media Inc. for media placement, according to 59 PAC's report to the Federal Election Commission. Another $95,876 went to Flexpoint Media. The report lists the ads as publicly distributed Oct. 21.

59 PAC registered with the FEC on Sept. 16 at an Anchorage address. Through Oct. 14, it reported raising $541,250, all of it from SLF PAC, a Washington, D.C., super PAC. In FEC records, SLF PAC uses the same committee number that Senate Leadership Fund filed under through 2024.

With smaller filings since late September, 59 PAC has now reported $1.92 million against Peltola.

It's one slice of the outside money in the race. Outside groups had reported $67.4 million on the general election through Oct. 19, most of it spent against a candidate on both sides.

59 PAC's filings are 24-hour reports, which disclose spending when ads go public and can be amended. Committees filing them certify the spending wasn't coordinated with a candidate or campaign.
