Last Frontier PAC reported $815,148 in new spending against Democrat Mary Peltola on Monday, adding to a week of large outside spending on both sides of her race against Republican Sen. Dan Sullivan.

The money paid for ads that ran Sept. 26 through Sept. 29, mostly through Red Right Media of Arlington, Virginia, according to the committee's notice to the Federal Election Commission. It brings Last Frontier PAC's spending against Peltola this year to $3.18 million.

Last Frontier PAC is a super PAC with a mailing address in Mountain Brook, Alabama, according to FEC records. Its largest contributors this cycle include Kenneth Griffin at $2.5 million, Restoration of America PAC at $2 million, and Paul Singer and ConocoPhillips ANS Marketing Co. at $500,000 each.

Groups opposing Sullivan reported their own large buys last week. On Sept. 24, North Star reported about $1.1 million against him, and WinSenate reported about $473,000. North Star's spending against Sullivan this year has reached $4.09 million and WinSenate's $1.98 million.

On the other side, SLF PAC reported about $1.3 million against Peltola on Sept. 25, bringing its total against her this year to $6.5 million.

Super PACs can raise and spend unlimited amounts to support or oppose candidates but can't coordinate with campaigns. They must report spending of $10,000 or more in a race within 48 hours. The notices list who was paid, when and how much, but not what the ads say or where they run. The FEC's own race totals leave out these 48-hour notices, so its figures won't match the ones here.

Assembled from public records the newsroom collected.
