Cordova to close part of Fourth Street Thursday and interrupt water service to fix a leak
The City of Cordova will close Fourth Street between Browning Avenue and Council Avenue starting at 9 am Thursday, Oct. 29, while crews dig up the street to fix a water leak.
Drivers and others who need to reach the area should use Davis Avenue as a detour, according to a public notice Public Works Director Kevin Johnson issued Wednesday.
The city titled it a water service interruption and road closure notice. But the notice does not say which homes or businesses could lose water service, or for how long. It also sets no end date for the closure or the repair.
The notice lists Public Works at 907-424-6220 for questions.
The city sent the notice by email and posted it on its public notices page, which lists current and past notices.
