A man suffered life-threatening gunshot wounds to the upper body Tuesday night in Anchorage. No arrest has been made. The Anchorage Police Department said in an Oct. 1 notice that the case remains under investigation.

Officers responded to the 600 block of C Street at about 8:58 p.m. on Sept. 29, the department said. They found the victim, an adult man, with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital. Police did not release his name or give an update on his condition. The notice does not describe a suspect, a motive or what led to the shooting.

Police are asking anyone with information who has not already spoken to officers to call police dispatch at 3-1-1 or (907) 786-8900. The case number is 26-25723.

Police are separately investigating a shooting around 3 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, in the 2400 block of Spenard Road, according to the department. Police said someone fired toward a group of people walking in the area. Four men were taken to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. The department reported no arrests in that case, number 26-25361, and has not said whether the two shootings are connected.

The account of both shootings comes from police notices alone.
