Retail Odyssey to hire on the spot Aug. 26 and 27 at Mat-Su Job Center

Retail Odyssey recruiters will interview Mat-Su job seekers next week and may hire some on the spot, the Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development said. The hiring event runs 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, and Thursday, Aug. 27, at the Mat-Su Job Center, 877 W. Commercial Drive in Wasilla.

Recruiters will discuss openings and career paths in retail merchandising, and department staff will offer resume help and assistance with AlaskaJobs, the state platform that replaced ALEXsys. Job seekers of all experience levels are welcome; bring a resume and dress to interview.

Retail Odyssey, a division of SAS Retail Services that merchandises for Kroger stores, advertises Alaska postings in Palmer and Badger paying about $17 an hour for entry-level merchandisers and $20 for team leads.
