The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration deobligated, or removed, $9,420 on Nov. 3 from a Juneau air charter contract serving its Little Port Walter Research Station. NOAA filed the change as a step to prepare the award for final closeout. It was one of four federal contract actions involving Alaska-based firms recorded Nov. 3 and 4.

NOAA moves two Juneau awards toward closeout as FAA and GSA add work

Juneau-based Ward Air, Inc. holds the purchase order to fly NOAA Fisheries Alaska Fisheries Science Center personnel and supplies from Juneau to Little Port Walter. Money was first obligated, or committed, to the order on Sept. 16, 2024. It covered work from Oct. 1, 2024, through Sept. 30, 2026, and carries $54,360 obligated to date.

NOAA also deobligated $2,751 in remaining funds on Nov. 3 from Casey W. Debenham's purchase order for aquarium curator and maintenance work at the Ted Stevens Marine Research Institute in Juneau. That action was taken to close out the award, which ran from Aug. 13, 2024, through Sept. 15, 2026, and has $66,289 obligated to date. A separate $36,000 NOAA award to Debenham covers aquarium maintenance and support services at the institute, with a base year and four option years.

The Federal Aviation Administration added $2,309 on Nov. 3 for a one-time task to Anchorage-based CYS Enterprises LLC's janitorial contract for its AFSS, ATCT and System Support Center (SSC) buildings in Kenai. The contract was first obligated April 4, 2025, runs through May 31, 2027, and now totals $216,446 obligated.

The General Services Administration's Public Buildings Service issued Anchorage-based Chugach Solutions Enterprise, LLC a $7,000 delivery order on Nov. 4 for snow removal in Washington, D.C., during the 2027 fiscal year. The work runs Nov. 15 through April 30, 2027. The figure reflects money committed to the order, not money spent.
