Anchorage operator seeks renewal of four marijuana licenses across two sites

Four Anchorage marijuana establishment licenses at two sites could be approved administratively by Alcohol and Marijuana Control Office Director Kevin Richard, without a full Marijuana Control Board hearing, if no municipal protest, public objection, or notice of violation is filed.

The Municipality of Anchorage's protest window closes July 25 for the 88th Avenue licenses and July 26 for the Dimond Boulevard licenses.

Eun Lee is listed as the designated licensee on all four applications. At 2429 E. 88th Ave., YNY Investment LLC holds one retail license, Hollyweed 907, and one manufacturing license, Higher Altitude Manufacturing. At 301 E. Dimond Blvd., SHFT LLC holds one manufacturing license, Sleeping Lady Extracts, and one retail license, Green Market. Dae An is listed as a licensee affiliate on the Hollyweed 907 and Higher Altitude Manufacturing renewal forms. All four seek 2026-2028 biennial licenses.

AMCO deemed the Hollyweed 907 and Higher Altitude Manufacturing applications complete May 26 and the Sleeping Lady Extracts and Green Market applications complete May 27, starting the municipality's 60-day protest clock. The notices were also sent to the Abbott Loop Community Council for the 88th Avenue site and the Taku Campbell Community Council for the Dimond Boulevard site.

Under state regulation, members of the public have 30 days from each notice date to submit written objections to both the applicant and AMCO. Richard stated in the renewal notices that "the board is required to consider this application independently if you have been issued any notices of violation for this license, if your local government protests this application, or if a public objection to this application is received within 30 days of this notice under 3 AAC 306.065." If a timely protest is filed, a temporary license will be issued pending board consideration. The Marijuana Control Board must act within 90 days of receiving a complete application.
