One owner moves to take full control of a Midtown Anchorage cannabis operation

Yotam Levi is set to take full ownership of a three-part marijuana business running out of a single Midtown Anchorage building, a grow operation, a manufacturing facility and a retail store, under transfer applications the state Marijuana Control Board takes up in early September.

Levi is buying out his partners, moving each of the three licenses from an ownership group led by Kyle Denton, who holds half, to Levi at 100%. Six other owners are also cashing out. The businesses themselves aren't changing, only who owns them; the storefront names stay the same. Levi already holds financial interests in two other Alaska marijuana licenses.

Anchorage has already cleared the deal. The Assembly approved the local transfers and declined to protest the state licenses in July, and a follow-up measure on this week's agenda affirms the same after the state required corrected paperwork on a technical point about how the sale was structured.

The board is scheduled to act in early September.
