Troopers recover stolen property in Wasilla, arrest 24-year-old man

Alaska State Troopers recovered stolen property in Wasilla on Saturday and arrested a man, a day after a resident reported the theft on Sept. 4. The property turned up at a second location.

Troopers charged James Cohen, 24, with second-degree theft, a felony, and first-degree criminal trespass, a misdemeanor. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility without bail. The dispatch does not say what was taken or why Cohen is held without bail.

The charges are accusations. Cohen is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.

Troopers thanked members of the public who sent in tips.
