Troopers recover stolen property in Wasilla, arrest 24-year-old man

Alaska State Troopers recovered stolen property in Wasilla on Saturday and arrested a 24-year-old man in connection with a theft reported a day earlier.

A Wasilla resident reported the theft to troopers on Sept. 4. Troopers found the stolen property the next day at a second location in the city.

Troopers charged James Cohen, 24, with second-degree theft and first-degree criminal trespass. He was remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility without bail.

The charges are accusations. Cohen is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.

Troopers thanked members of the public who sent in tips on the case.
