Troopers: Fairbanks man, 79, injured in Old Nenana Highway motorcycle crash

A 79-year-old Fairbanks man was hurt Wednesday afternoon when he crashed his motorcycle on the Old Nenana Highway, Alaska State Troopers said.

Troopers received the report at about 1:44 p.m. on Aug. 5, 2026. Their investigation determined that the rider, identified as Paul Perreault of Fairbanks, crashed his motorcycle and was taken to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital for treatment. The dispatch, logged as case AK26076351, names no other vehicle. It does not describe the extent of his injuries or a cause.

The crash is one of several involving motorcycles in the Fairbanks area this summer. Dispatches show a rider severely injured and flown to Anchorage after a July 1 crash at College Road and University Avenue. A rider was killed July 25 at Geist Road and Loftus Road. Another rider was taken to Fairbanks Memorial and then transferred to Anchorage after an Aug. 4 collision at Badger and Peede roads in North Pole.
