Alaska State Troopers arrested a 23-year-old Marshall man Saturday, Oct. 17, on seven charges, including sexual abuse of a minor and sexual assault, involving a girl, according to a trooper dispatch posted Monday.

Troopers allege the man sexually abused and assaulted the girl on multiple occasions in Marshall, a lower Yukon River village, between May 2024 and February 2026. The charges are accusations, and he is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

Troopers received a report on Sept. 15 that a girl had been sexually assaulted in the summer of 2025. Two days later, one of the troopers' regional major crimes units took the case, with help from the Fairbanks Rural Unit.

Troopers arrested the man in Marshall without incident and took him to the Yukon-Kuskokwim Correctional Center in Bethel.

He faces one count of first-degree sexual abuse of a minor, two counts in the second degree and one in the third degree. He also faces one count each of first-degree sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault and first-degree harassment.
