Texas firm wins $48,950 contract to patch pavement at Kenai refuge

The Kenai National Wildlife Refuge is getting its pavement patched and cracks sealed this fall, under a $48,950 federal contract running Aug. 19 through Oct. 15.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service awarded the work to Fountain of Wealth LLC of Baytown, Texas. The federal record does not say which refuge roads or parking areas it covers.

Refuge planning documents say the service will keep pursuing better road maintenance and year-round public access in cooperation with the Alaska Department of Transportation.
