Tanana Chiefs Conference sets June family events in Fairbanks

Tanana Chiefs Conference's Tribal Social Services is hosting two family-focused events in June in Fairbanks.

The Family First Resource Fair takes place June 5 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Growden Park. Families can connect with local programs, access resources, and receive food and prizes.

The Family Fun Cultural Activity Night is scheduled for June 29. Activities include decorating round canvases at a drum-making station, headband crafts, drumstick decorating, and necklace making. A family activity table will feature low-cost ideas for home activities.

The June 29 event includes a presentation on self-care and coping skills for families. Pizza and ice cream will be served while supplies last. Between 6:30 and 7 p.m., families will be invited for singing and drumming.

Tanana Chiefs Conference operates Family Services programs that support individuals and families in rural Interior Alaska communities, including assistance with parenting, family stability, and access to resources.
