Pilot uninjured after plane flips during off-airport landing in Caribou Hills

A pilot walked away uninjured after flipping his plane during an off-airport landing in the Caribou Hills, Alaska Wildlife Troopers said.

Troopers in Soldotna got the report Friday, Sept. 11, and a Department of Public Safety helicopter flew the pilot back to Soldotna. The state logged it as a search and rescue.

Troopers didn't identify the pilot or the aircraft, say what caused the crash, or say when the plane went over. It also isn't clear whether the plane has been recovered.
