Pilot uninjured after plane flips during off-airport landing in Caribou Hills

A pilot walked away uninjured after flipping his plane during an off-airport landing in the Caribou Hills, Alaska Wildlife Troopers said. Troopers in Soldotna received the report on Friday, Sept. 11. The dispatch does not say when the plane went over.

Alaska State Troopers responded and flew the pilot back to Soldotna aboard Helo 3, a Department of Public Safety helicopter. The state logged the response as a search and rescue, case number AK26090396.

The dispatch does not identify the pilot, the aircraft or the cause. It does not say whether the plane was recovered.

The National Transportation Safety Board investigates civil aviation accidents in the United States and determines their probable cause.
