North Pole teen arrested after 100-mph motorcycle chase in Fairbanks

Alaska State Troopers arrested a North Pole teenager Sunday afternoon after a motorcycle chase on the Richardson Highway in which the rider reached approximately 100 mph, ran multiple red lights, and passed vehicles in turn lanes.

Troopers spotted the motorcycle northbound at approximately 100 mph around 1:44 p.m. Sunday. When they attempted to stop the rider, he refused to yield and drove through several red lights, passing vehicles in turn lanes at high speed. Investigators identified the rider as Noah Houx, 19, of North Pole.

Troopers arrested Houx and remanded him to the Fairbanks Correctional Center on charges of failing to stop at the direction of law enforcement and reckless driving. The Alaska Department of Public Safety posted the incident report June 22, 2026.

All charges are accusations. Houx is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
