A 28-year-old Wasilla man was jailed on charges of drunken driving and refusing a chemical test after a motorcycle crash on North Palmer-Fishhook Road late Saturday, Alaska State Troopers said.

Troopers took the report about 10:05 pm and concluded the rider had been driving under the influence of alcohol. He was taken to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility. The charges are accusations, and he is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

Refusing the test is a separate charge from the DUI. Under Alaska law, drivers are treated as having agreed to breath or blood testing as a condition of holding a license. Both charges can be misdemeanors or felonies depending on a driver's record, and troopers did not give this rider's.

The report does not say whether anyone was hurt or whether another vehicle was involved.
