Man held without bail after indecent exposure arrest in Palmer
Alaska State Troopers arrested a man early Thursday on a charge of first-degree indecent exposure after a report near Seward Meridian Parkway, according to a trooper dispatch.
Troopers responded to the report at about 5 am Oct. 1, identified a suspect and arrested him after he resisted, the dispatch says. He was taken to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and is held without bail on one count of first-degree indecent exposure and two counts of disorderly conduct, according to troopers.
Under state law, first-degree indecent exposure is a felony, while the basic offense, second-degree indecent exposure, is a misdemeanor. The dispatch does not say what elevated the charge in this case. The charges listed at arrest are troopers'; prosecutors decide what to formally charge, and those charges can differ.
Charges are accusations, and he is presumed innocent.
