Ketchikan warrant service leads to three arrests at one home
Alaska State Troopers arrested three people at a single Ketchikan residence June 12 after executing a search warrant for a woman wanted on felony probation violations.
Troopers received an anonymous call at approximately 5:04 p.m. reporting the location of Teeka Edenshaw, 35, who had two outstanding felony probation warrants. While patrolling the area, troopers spotted Edenshaw in the window of a house on Beaver Street. After Edenshaw and other occupants refused commands to exit, troopers applied for and were granted search warrant 3AN-26-2016SW.
Troopers mechanically breached the residence around 8:06 p.m. after occupants refused to open the door. Troopers found Edenshaw hiding in the attic and arrested her at approximately 8:19 p.m. She is held without bail at Ketchikan Correctional Center on warrants 1KE-23-00567CR and 1KE-23-00510CR.
Murphy Charles was charged with first-degree hindering prosecution after troopers determined he helped Edenshaw climb into the attic to evade arrest. Charles is also held without bail.
During the search, troopers identified Fred Reigard, 54, as an occupant. Reigard was the subject of a separate investigation that showed he had failed to register as a sex offender and had a prior conviction for the same offense in 2023. Reigard was arrested on a first-degree charge and held without bail.
The charges against all three are accusations. Defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
