More than 50 colleges and employers sign up for Juneau's Oct. 21 college and career fair

More than 50 colleges, apprenticeship programs and employers are signed up for the Juneau College and Career Fair Wednesday, Oct. 21, in Juneau-Douglas High School's Yadaa.at Kalé Gymnasium. The school's list, marked "more coming," includes University of Alaska campuses, Kensington and Greens Creek mines, Trident Seafoods and the Coast Guard.

Students from nine Southeast communities outside Juneau, including Wrangell, Angoon and Haines, are invited, along with JDHS, Yaakoosge Daakahidi High School and local homeschool programs, according to a state labor department bulletin. Booth vendors can still register online through Hometown Ticketing and pay by credit card, or file a paper form and pay by check. A W-9 is available for tax paperwork. Setup starts at 8:30 a.m.

Juneau is the last stop on the Alaska College & Career Fair Circuit, after Ketchikan Oct. 19 and Sitka Oct. 20. Fairbanks holds its fair Oct. 15 at UAF's Wood Center.
