Fairbanks man arrested for DUI after crash injures three passengers
Three passengers were injured early Saturday when 20-year-old Joshua Andrews allegedly drove drunk and wrecked his vehicle near Steese Highway and Fairhill Road in Fairbanks, Alaska State Troopers said. The collision was reported at approximately 3:40 a.m.
Troopers transported Andrews to the Peger Road Trooper post, where a DataMaster breath test recorded 0.172 grams per 210 liters of breath. Alaska law sets the legal limit at 0.08, meaning Andrews tested at more than twice that threshold.
Andrews was charged with DUI and three counts of third-degree assault and remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center.
Charges are accusations. Andrews is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
