Customs and Border Protection added $1.9 million on Oct. 30 to an order held by Anchorage-based Trailboss Enterprises for ground transportation and facility guard services. That brings the total obligated on the order to about $9.4 million. It is the largest of 28 federal contract actions recorded for Alaska-based firms between Oct. 30 and Nov. 2, according to USAspending.gov.

Three other Anchorage firms received additions of more than $750,000 that day. The Labor Department added $915,000 to Arlluk Technology Solutions' order for support of the Office of Workers' Compensation Programs' employee compensation portals, with the work listed in Washington, D.C. The Department of Homeland Security added $822,868 to Ahtna Integrated Services' order for protective security officers at an Internal Revenue Service facility in Andover, Massachusetts. The State Department added $761,645 to Coho Consulting Group's order for overseas school support, exercising an option and adding a position.

Of the 28 actions, 15 list a place of work in Alaska and 13 list one outside the state. The count may grow: Defense Department awards often reach the database late.

The Coast Guard took $1,957 off a Ketchikan company's order on Nov. 2. Full Cycle LLC's order, for disposal of oily wastes from the cutter Kukui, now stands at $8,618. The work was done in Ketchikan in July.

The Department of Veterans Affairs took $4,500 off Anchorage-based Environmental Compliance Consultants' hazardous waste disposal order in Walla Walla, Washington, on Nov. 2. The change was recorded as exercising the order's fourth option year, though its listed performance period ended May 31. The order now stands at $123,960.

On Oct. 30, the government obligated $28,986 to Anchorage-based Tatitlek Federal Services as part of a contract transfer between two General Services Administration offices, for work at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. That is the only money obligated so far on the order. USAspending.gov lists its current value at about $10.6 million and its potential value at up to $32.6 million. The order runs from Nov. 1 through October 2027.
