A missing Wasilla man was found alive in a car in Delta Junction

A Wasilla man missing for nearly a week was found alive Sunday in the back seat of a parked car at the Delta Junction Visitor Center, hundreds of miles from home and in the middle of a medical emergency.

Alaska State Troopers identified him as Kent Larson, reported missing from the Wasilla area on July 21. What led troopers to him was not a search but a stationary car: a caller reported around 1:30 p.m. Sunday that a white Ford had sat at the visitor center since about 4:30 p.m. Saturday, and no one had seen anyone get out. Troopers ran a welfare check and found Larson lying in the back seat.

Medics took him to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital. Troopers said his family has been told he was found. His condition was not released.
