“We believe a new 6-month duration task force would be the best path forward to a pragmatic solution that addresses both the environmental protection issues and individual property owner rights. We strongly suggest the task force be asked to outline their findings and recommendations only in a resolution to the assembly. They should not be asked to get into the details of Robert's Rules and process of writing code, but simply think through the issues and bring forward their recommendations to you.”

We believe a new 6-month duration task force would be the best path forward to a pragmatic solution that addresses both the environmental protection issues and individual property owner rights. We strongly suggest the task force be asked to outline their findings and recommendations only in a resolution to the assembly. They should not be asked to get into the details of Robert's Rules and process of writing code, but simply think through the issues and bring forward their recommendations to you. The original advisory board was seriously weighed down with that kind of detailed code writing process, and I think it detracted from the mission. At the end of the 6-month period, the assembly should pass then an ordinance outlining code change objectives that you have based on the report from a task force, and then any amendments that you might choose to make as an assembly.
