Wasilla concentrate maker sought license change for THC gummies; board's April decision not in record

Connoisseur Crude, a Wasilla marijuana concentrate manufacturer, sought state approval to add gummies and hard candy to an operating plan listing shatter, wax and live resin.

The company asked the Alcohol and Marijuana Control Office to convert its concentrate license to a product manufacturing license at 3156 Top of the World Circle, Building B.

AMCO deemed the application complete on Feb. 19 and set it for the Marijuana Control Board's April 15-16 meeting in Nome. The record does not show the board's decision. Borough, DEC and fire marshal approvals and a preliminary AMCO inspection remained outstanding.

Each gummy or hard candy would carry 5 or 10 milligrams of THC, capped at 100 per package. A random sample from each lot would go to a licensed testing lab. The rest would stay quarantined. The company cannot sell directly to consumers. Products resembling candy are barred.
