Alaska State Troopers say a 43-year-old Bethel man killed a 35-year-old Emmonak woman inside a home in Kotlik, then fatally shot himself.

Troopers identified the two as Kenneth Andrew of Bethel and Kayla Hendrickson of Emmonak in a dispatch posted Thursday.

Troopers got a report at 1:27 am Tuesday that two people had been found dead in the home. Troopers went to the scene with a village police officer. "Investigation indicates that Andrew killed Hendrickson before fatally shooting himself," the dispatch says.

The dispatch does not say when the deaths happened, how Hendrickson was killed or how the two knew each other.

Both families have been notified. The State Medical Examiner's Office will perform autopsies, and troopers said the investigation is ongoing.
