Troopers rule Akiak house fire non-criminal

A home burned in Akiak on July 15, and no one was hurt, according to the Alaska State Troopers.

Troopers from Bethel and a deputy fire marshal from Fairbanks flew to the Kuskokwim River village to investigate. They found the cause undetermined, but not criminal. The state Division of Fire and Life Safety posted the finding Aug. 26.

The finding does not say how badly the house burned, or where its residents are now.
