Troopers rule Akiak house fire non-criminal

A home in the village of Akiak burned early on July 15, but everyone associated with it was accounted for and no injuries were reported, the Alaska State Troopers said.

Troopers were notified at 3:54 p.m. that day. Bethel troopers and a Fairbanks deputy fire marshal flew in aboard state aircraft and found the cause undetermined, but not criminal.

The Division of Fire and Life Safety posted the finding, AK26068217, on Aug. 26. It does not say how badly the house burned or where its residents went.
