Troopers identify driver who left Ester street light crash
A driver knocked down a street light near Chena Ridge Road and Chena Ridge Spur in Ester and left without reporting the crash, Alaska State Troopers said. Troopers found the car at about 12:07 a.m. Monday, Sept. 14, resting on the shoulder, unoccupied and locked, with the driver-side airbags deployed. The dispatch does not say when the crash happened.
The investigation identified the driver, according to the daily dispatch posted Monday morning. The case is AK26091129. Troopers describe the case as a failure to report an accident.
The dispatch does not say whether charges have been forwarded and contains no account from the driver. The Department of Public Safety says on every dispatch page that charges reported there are accusations and that defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
