The Assembly votes Tuesday on confirming a longtime trustee to run Anchorage's police and fire pension

The Anchorage Assembly votes Tuesday on confirming Glenn Cipriano as director of the Police & Fire Retirement System. An Assembly worksession took up the appointment Thursday.

The director runs the retirement system's daily operations, a paid administrative post separate from the volunteer seats on its Board of Trustees. Cipriano would move into the job from that board, where he had served as a trustee and as treasurer. He would succeed Edward Jarvis, and the system's staff page already lists him as director.

The vote is Tuesday evening, and the Assembly's site has a sign-up form for phone testimony.
