Missing 10-year-old found safe in Big Lake

A 10-year-old boy reported missing in Big Lake has been found safe, the Alaska State Troopers said Friday.

The alert and its cancellation reached the public as a single trooper dispatch, AK26095647, posted at 2:03 p.m. Friday. The dispatch does not specify what time or date he was located. It is also the only account of the episode, and it does not say how long the boy was gone, who found him, or where.
