IHS pays Anchorage firm $184,157 for Oklahoma City clerks

The Indian Health Service will pay Koniag Advisory and Business Solutions, LLC, of Anchorage $184,157 for General Clerk III services, a federal clerical grade, under a Purchased/Referred Care program contract at the agency's Oklahoma City Area Office. Work runs Sept. 15, 2026, through Sept. 14, 2027. The award was not competed.

PRC pays for eligible off-site care for American Indian and Alaska Native patients, subject to clinical, authorization and notification rules. Under federal rules, most patients must notify the program within 72 hours of receiving emergency care elsewhere. Missing that window can leave patients responsible for the bill.

Koniag Advisory is a subsidiary of Koniag Government Services, the federal contracting arm of Koniag Inc. It holds 25 other IHS awards, none in Alaska. A month earlier it won a three-year, $1,261,920 IHS award to code and bill a patient-visit backlog IHS called essential to continued operations. The work runs to 2030 under an 8(a) sole-source contract, a Small Business Administration program for disadvantaged firms.
