Flags fly at half-staff from sunrise to sunset Tuesday for Cheri Davis, who represented Ketchikan in the Alaska House from 1989 to 1992.

Davis, a Republican, came to the Legislature from the Ketchikan School Board, where she served from 1978 and was president. She was also a board member and past president of the Association of Alaska School Boards, and vice president of the Pacific Region of the National School Boards Association.

Gov. Mike Dunleavy ordered the Alaska and U.S. flags lowered in her honor.
