About this event
ConocoPhillips Alaska, Inc. (CPAI) has filed applications with the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission (AOGCC) under Docket Numbers CO-26-009 and AIO-26-011. The company is seeking a Conservation Order to establish pool rules for the proposed Willow Oil Pool within the Bear Tooth Unit, as well as an Area Injection Order (AIO) to facilitate enhanced oil recovery and temporary fluid storage during the pre-drill period.
A public hearing for these applications is tentatively scheduled for November 4, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the AOGCC offices in Anchorage. Interested parties must file a written request for the hearing by 4:30 p.m. on September 22, 2026, or the commission may issue an order without a hearing.
Written comments on the application are due by October 6, 2026, unless a hearing is held, in which case comments will be accepted until the conclusion of the hearing. The AOGCC commissioners overseeing the matter are Thomas W. McKay, Jessie L. Chmielowski, and Gregory C. Wilson.
