Aramark to interview Juneau job seekers Thursday at the Juneau Job Center

Aramark is hiring food service workers, cooks and custodial workers in Juneau. The company will meet job seekers Thursday, Aug. 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Juneau Job Center, 10002 Glacier Highway, Suite 100, reachable at (907) 465-4562.

The Alaska Job Center Network calendar lists those openings but gives no wages and no count of positions.

Aramark recruits in Juneau for custodial, food service and environmental services roles, including work tied to the Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium.

Juneau's unemployment rate stands at 2.5 percent, below the statewide seasonally adjusted rate of 4.4 percent in June, according to the department's Research and Analysis section. Borough rates are not seasonally adjusted, so the two are not directly comparable. That low local rate can also reflect employers struggling to fill lower-wage service positions rather than an easing job search for workers, according to state labor statistics.
