Six General Services Administration awards worth about $316,000, recorded Sept. 29 and 30, went to Anchorage-based Katmai Integrated Solutions for repair work at federal buildings in Florida.

The largest award, $104,815, covers chiller maintenance and a rented temporary chiller at the Charles Bennett Federal Building. An $82,000 emergency repair to a sanitation pipe at Jacksonville's Bryan Simpson Federal Building is scheduled to run through April 29, 2027. The remaining four awards cover operations and maintenance at the Orlando Annex U.S. Courthouse ($70,815); building automation programming repairs there ($22,203) and at the George Young Federal Building ($33,322); and a chiller pump replacement at Miami's Clyde Atkins U.S. Courthouse ($3,001).

Katmai is owned by the Ouzinkie village corporation near Kodiak and runs a federal contracting business topping $200 million, with its largest presence in Florida, prior Alaska News reporting found. An SBA profile lists the company's 8(a) exit date as April 13, 2026. The 8(a) program is a Small Business Administration certification that gives qualifying disadvantaged businesses, including Alaska Native corporations, priority access to federal contracts for a set term before they must compete without that advantage. As an Alaska Native corporation, Katmai says it enjoys "many procurement advantages with the Federal government."
