Chugach Manor senior housing waiting list open in Anchorage; Chugach View list closed Sept. 17
Alaska Housing Finance Corporation closed the one-bedroom waiting list for its Chugach View Senior/Disabled Housing in Anchorage at the close of business Sept. 17. The corporation accepted applications postmarked by that date, according to its public housing notice. AHFC opened the one-bedroom list at its other senior building, Chugach Manor, on Sept. 3, and AHFC still listed it as open Oct. 3.
AHFC encourages people 62 or older or with a disability whose income is at or below 80% of area median income to apply. The head of household, spouse or co-tenant must be at least 62 or a person with a disability, according to AHFC application instructions.
Each family may submit one application. AHFC withdraws duplicate applications. Placement on a waiting list goes by the date and time an application arrives.
Applications for the open Chugach Manor list go to the Anchorage Family Investment Center at 440 E. Benson Blvd. Applicants may submit them by mail, by hand or in the drop box outside the office. AHFC does not accept applications by email. Questions go to 907-330-6100.
