Anchorage Assembly to consider beer and wine permit for golf simulator on Old Seward Highway

Anchorage Assembly votes Tuesday on beer and wine sales at Mulligan's golf simulator on Old Seward Highway, with the administration recommending approval.

Mulligan's, LLC is asking the Anchorage Assembly on Tuesday to approve beer and wine sales at its indoor golf simulator.

If the resolution passes, on-premises alcohol sales would be permitted seven days a week. The resolution would take effect immediately.

The administration recommends approval and the Taku/Campbell Community Council did not give comment.

A separate Anchorage golf simulator business was denied a license at the state level. Divots Golf Anchorage posted on its website: "Unfortunately, the State of Alaska has denied Divots Golf Anchorage a beer/wine license due to the unique nature of the small business."

That denial was a state licensing matter, not a municipal land use decision like the one before the Assembly on Tuesday.

If the Assembly approves the permit, Mulligan's must file a notice of zoning action with the State of Alaska Recorder's Office within 120 days.
