AlaskaCare retiree town hall Thursday covers dental, vision and audio benefits
The Alaska Division of Retirement and Benefits takes questions from AlaskaCare retirees and their dependents Thursday, Oct. 15, from 10 to 11 am Alaska time, on Dental-Vision-Audio benefits and open enrollment. Registration closes at 9 am that day.
The Dental-Vision-Audio plan is voluntary, and members pay the entire premium, the division's Retiree Frequently Asked Questions says. Only members who already carry the coverage can take part in open enrollment. Premiums rose Jan. 1, the division's enrollment page says, and the page lists no date for the next enrollment period.
Registered retirees get a call when the event begins and press 1 to join. Others can listen live on the division's Facebook page. A recording is posted about a week later.
The calls dropped from monthly to four a year in January, Alaska News reported Aug. 31. Thursday's session is the last one scheduled for 2026.
Based on a press release from Alaska Retirement & Benefits.
