Last week, Doyon and TCC issued a joint statement to urge planning for rising fuel prices and ongoing global supply challenges. International conflicts and disruptions to major shipping routes continue to affect increased prices for gasoline, diesel, and heating fuel. As many Alaska communities rely on fuel deliveries during the summer and fall months, these changes may affect both the cost and timing of fuel orders later this year. While long-term impacts remain uncertain, we encourage shareholders, rural residents, and village leadership to stay informed and begin conversations early with local suppliers and utilities as planning efforts move forward throughout the summer. In clinical news, we are pleased to share that TCC Health Services has successfully achieved reaccreditation for ambulatory care and certified medical home care through the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care for another 3-year term.
Doyon, Limited and Tanana Chiefs Conference warned last week that international shipping disruptions are driving up fuel costs across Interior Alaska. Communities that rely on seasonal barge deliveries should plan early for summer and fall orders.
