I will say the intent of the co-chairs, or the 3 of us working on it, was to get this a little bit earlier, but I'll kind of outline the timing and then we can get into the content. What we intend to do, knowing that the addendum deadline for that meeting is coming up in a couple hours basically, is to submit a version that we know is not complete.
The Anchorage Police and Fire departments are running well over their approved overtime budgets, and OMB Director Ona Brouse told the Assembly Budget and Finance Committee on Thursday that overtime allocations have not been updated in at least four years, with the continuation-budget baseline tracing to roughly 2010.
