Not enough Alaskans are in DC working for us who understand our seafood industry and our fishermen. We have outdated and inefficient lower-48 bureaucracy, and we have outdated and legislation— outdated legislation and rules that don't work for Alaskan fishermen. Magnuson-Stevens does need to be revised to curtail bycatch, Standards, national standards 4, 8, and 9 do need to be tightened up. We Alaskans, almost all of us agree on this.
