And whereas the proposed borough sales tax may limit the city's ability to independently determine and administer lawful sources of local taxation unless the borough expressly authorizes cities to do so, and whereas the city supports the financial health and economic stability of all communities in the Mat-Su Borough. Now therefore be it resolved that the Wasilla City Council opposes Mat-Su Borough Ordinance serial number 26032 adopted by the Wasilla City Council on June 8th.
