My Alaska Salmon Task Force Act, which was the most comprehensive bill to look at how we get strong salmon runs returned to our state in our state waters, it looked at several different areas including bycatch, a framework and a pathway to move forward which set the stage for my comprehensive bycatch Bycatch Reduction Act, which we will be bringing to vote on in the Commerce Committee next week. The one way in which we will not get any bycatch legislation done is if the senators from Seattle who support and have fundraised for my opponent become the chairman of the Commerce Committee. That's how you stop this in its tracks. We're making progress. We need to do much more.
