We, on the other hand, are not willing to sell right away. The south route costs $13 million less than north route, provides greater benefits to the Engstrom traffic issues, can be constructed sooner, does not take land from unwilling property owners. We suggest the following alternative approach: construct the south route now, then complete projects currently in design phase—Texel Drive extension, Engstrom extension Texel Drive, and the Antrim Boulevard roundabout, and then evaluate the need for and location of an additional connector after these improvements are completed.
