Two charged with first-degree burglary at Clam Gulch cabin

Two people face felony burglary charges after Alaska State Troopers found them removing a large appliance from a seasonal cabin in Clam Gulch on Thursday, July 30, troopers said.

Troopers based in Anchor Point received the burglary report that day. The suspects had returned to the cabin by the time troopers arrived, according to the dispatch account.

Investigators identified the two as Synister Krakkerss, 46, of Anchorage, and Carolann Alden, 27, of Wasilla. Troopers said the pair entered the cabin unlawfully on more than one occasion and took numerous items.

Both were arrested and remanded to Wildwood Pretrial on charges of burglary in the first degree, theft in the second degree and criminal trespass in the first degree.

Most of the stolen items were recovered at a nearby residence, troopers said.

The charges are accusations, and both are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. The account comes from the Department of Public Safety daily dispatch, which does not include any response from the two.
