Troopers say Wasilla man, 21, pepper-sprayed woman off Knik Goose Bay Road, then fled
Alaska State Troopers say a 21-year-old Wasilla man pepper-sprayed a woman off Knik Goose Bay Road in Wasilla on Friday and then fled.
Troopers responded at about 11:53 am Friday, Oct. 30, to a reported assault in progress, according to the troopers' daily dispatch report. Initial reports indicated the man sprayed the woman with pepper spray and then left the scene, the report says.
The man also has an outstanding warrant for his arrest from a different case, according to the dispatch.
Troopers have not announced an arrest. The dispatch, posted Saturday morning by the troopers' B Detachment, does not say whether the woman was hurt or what charges the man could face. It says the investigation continues.
Troopers note in their dispatch reports that any charges they describe are accusations and that the people charged are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
